"For behold the Field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul."

Mission Map and Boundaries |
There are a total of 21 mission in the Philippines and Cauayan Mission is said to be the largest in terms of the land area. It is located in the country side in the island of luzon. Our mission is blessed to have both country and city. It is divided into eleven different zones ; from north (Tuguegarao North, Tuguegarao South, Ilagan, Roxas, Burgos, Cauayan, Alicia, Santiago North, Santiago South, Solano and Bambang).
Our national language is Filipino or commonly called as "Tagalog", but we do have hundreds of dialects from the different provinces in our country. But mainly in Cauayan Mission their dialect is ilokano. We do use tagalog in the medium of teaching but you will also came to know how to speak their native dialect.
I was blessed to be assigned in six (6) different zones.. but here our some photos of the mission (credits to President and Sister Rahlf) to give you a glimpse of what we enjoy during our mission in Cauayan.
WHAT EYE SEE.....
TUGUEGARAO NORTH ZONE |
CAUAYAN ZONE |
BAMBANG ZONE |
ILAGAN ZONE |
ROXAS ZONE |
SOLANO ZONE |
So basically, you will love all the zones around the mission because of the rich scenery of fields and terrains though some parts have city. But most of all, one of the eight wonders of the world which is "The Banaue Rice Terraces" belongs inside the Cauayan Mission bounderies and it is the privilege of each missionaries to come and visit it before leaving the mission.
THE BANAUE RICE TERRACES
Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng Banawe are 2,000 year old terraces that were carved into the mountains of ifugao in the Philippines by ancestors of indigenous people.
